Modern Dance Performance

2026-2027 ENROLLMENT

Our curriculum is divided into two 16-week semesters, Fall and Spring. Tuition is paid by semester.  Students enrolled in the Fall semester will automatically be enrolled in the Spring semester.  If your dancer does not intend to continue a class in the Spring, please notify the office in advance.

The Fall semester focuses on structured training in technique and artistry.

The Spring semester builds upon the Fall framework, as well as takes what students have learned, and applies it to choreography taught during the later half of class. Students will  perform this choreography in the Spring at the end of the semester in our end of year Spring Recital.

Further details regarding the Spring Recital will be released at a later date.

What if I don't see a class I am looking for on the schedule?

If you do not see a specific class style for your child's age group, or are interested in a specific day/time, please reach out via phone/email/text to the office.  We are always willing to work with families to find an option that suits your needs. Collaboration with student families along with insight into student availability and interest is always appreciated and considered to evolve the preliminary schedule.

What classes do you recommend?

We strongly believe that ballet is the foundation of all dance.  This is where we recommend dancers begin, and build a curiculuum from here.  In addition to ballet, as a primarly jazz-based studio, Jazz classes are strongly encouraged to couple with ballet for strong technique and movement quality training.

With that in mind, all styles offer unique components to a well-rounded student curriculum. Further insight into what each style offers can be found under here.

Once enrolled, if a class is not the best fit, can I adjust my schecdule or are we locked in for the semester?

Absolutely.  Our goal is for every student to leave class feeling both challenged and accomplished.  If after a few weeks of class, either a student or their teacher feels that an different class may be a better fit for your dancer, we are more than willing to discuss alternate options to ensure the best training experience for every dancer.

Is there a class dress code?

Ballet is the only class for which we require a strict dress code: All students are required to wear a leotard, pink ballet tights and pink ballet shoes.  All ballet students must wear their hair pulled back in a bun.

For all other classes, students should dress comfortably in form-fitting clothes that allow students and instructors to see body alignment for optimal training.
